In 1955 Emmett Till was brutally murdered. The case was once closed but it had gotten reopened again. Again it had closed again. Emmett Till was murdered by Milam and Bryant. He got taken from his home and was beaten in a barn where neighbors heard his cries. He was then taken and dumped in a river pulled down by a cotton gin and wire.

“It is not right at all. When he was murdered it was big, however I don’t think it will ever be opened again.” freshman Paige Ouwenga stated.

“I’m mad because someone else made him look guilty, when all he was saying was saying hi to a white person.” sophomore Molly Wilkinson stated.
