Boulder shooting

Recently, there was a shooting at a King Soopers supermarket in Boulder, Colorado. The
shooting took place on March 22, 2021 and the lives of 10 people were taken, including an officer that was responding to the scene.

The first shots started outside in the parking lot when a heavy-set man in a green tactical vest started firing shots off and killed an elderly man. The shooter started making his way around the supermarket’s parking lot.

By the time he made it to the East entrance of the parking lot and walked through the glass doors to the store, he already had killed three innocent by-standers.

As soon as he made it into the store, he instantly opened fire on one of the clerks and shot her dead. Seconds later, panic in the store ensued. The customers in the store were fleeing from all entrances yelling at the confused customers and workers to run, and that there’s a shooter.

Whoever wasn’t able to run out of the store, was forced to hide. People took every opportunity they had to try to get away or hide. There were dumpsters and trash cans full of civilians, and people hiding in between the shelves trying to hide from the gunfire.

The first calls started flooding in around 2:33 PM and the first officers arrived after about two minutes, and it was a woman officer leading with her male sidekick brandishing a rifle with him.

Less than 30 seconds after they arrived, they started sprinted towards the building, and 30 seconds after that, three other police cruisers were on the scene.

Civilians watching the scene said that they couldn’t believe how the officers ran in the building so bravely, without any consideration for their own lives.

Unfortunately when Officer Talley entered the building, less than 30 feet in the store, was fatally shot in the head twice.

After the police entered the building and exchanged gunfire with the shooter, there were no more casualties, but for the next 20 minutes the shooter kept exchanging gunfire and walking around the store laughing.

At 2:50, a swat vehicle rammed through the front windows of the store, and the gunman started barricading himself in a corner, but he wasn’t holding his rifle anymore.

Later, at 3:22 the gunman who was now naked and bleeding heavilly from gunshot wounds to his thigh, surrendered. Boulder Police say that as he was being escorted out of the building, he was asking for his mother.

No motie has been solved yet, but the boulder community mourns together,as one, and bonds between all citizens are tighter than ever. The Shooter was identified as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa and has been found guilty of 10 counts of Murder.
