The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual celebration of music and fashion held in Indio, California, in an area of the Colorado Desert known as Coachella Valley. Music fanatics, A-List celebrities, and social media influencers scramble for tickets to this Woodstock-esc musical extravaganza, all the while creating immaculate outfits to capture the outrageous energy of Coachella.

Despite the festival being an event revolving around music, the fashion of the attendees is what Coachella is most known for. Though style has fluctuated through the years, Coachella fashion remains cohesive, incorporating trends from the current year as well as pieces from the trends of many years prior. A sea of sequins, fringe, and bright colors make up the Coachella crowd, which can be seen through one of the many lenses of the concert photographers who attend the festival.

This year, Coachella has been working to minimize their carbon footprint as well. “In 2022, Coachella will build off its environmental initiatives and launch new ones to account for our emissions, save water and divert waste,” says the Coachella administrative board.
Coachella is a one in a lifetime experience, from the music to the fashion. Despite its shocking popularity, admission to Coachella is, and has always been, immensely costly. General Admission wristbands alone range from $450 to $650 face value, with VIP tickets costing as much as $1150.
