Chip off of Bluey

An overwhelming amount of kid’s content is on the market. So many shows are played on television, claiming to be good for peoples’ kids. However, The Daily Wire claims that their show, Chip Chilla, released October 16, 2023 is one of the only trustable shows.

The show is one of four for The Daily Wire’s Bentkey originals. It is a platform that is an off-shoot of The Daily Wire +, a streaming service for The Daily Wire, founded by Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing. The show is about a family of chinchillas, three children and two parents. It follows the homeschooled, older two children on their learning adventures.

“There’s an unbelievable library of content, most of it’s at Disney, let’s be honest. But it’s not that the content isn’t great, it’s that you can’t trust the platform,” co-founder Jeremy Boreing said at a teaser in June of 2023.

Bentkey’s representatives are claiming that these shows are traditional and politically free for the sake of children’s programming. Other shows on Disney are “turning them to the left.”

“The show is a clear cut copy of Bluey. The aesthetics are the same down to the concept,” junior Cole Lopez said.

It is not hard to see that the content is similar to a popular show on Disney; Bluey. Both are shows released with kids in mind, bright colors, happy faces, and a traditional family of talking animals. However, Chip Chilla is different for its values, being centralized around upholding traditional values.

“It matters because kids go to school for 40 hours a week and then they engage in pop culture for 40 more hours every week. That means for 80 hours of a child’s week you are turning them over to the left,” Boreing continued.

And it is plain to see the reasons why this show was made. Though, it is hard to tell if this show is even worth the watch despite its unstable release. The reviews are coming in, and being bombed from either side of the hate train. It has an average of likes at 10% from Google users and 3.9/10 on IMDb. So, it is left up to personal opinion.
