Tennis+review

Findlay high school has several different sports during the fall, a main one being girls Tennis. The girls Tennis season started on August first, 2023. There are 25 girls on the team, five freshmen, 10 sophomores, four juniors, and six seniors along with two coaches. They have practices on the days they do not have matches and they normally have matches three days out of the week.

“I really do not care for Tennis but if it is something that you want to do good for you. Personally I would never think it’s dumb but that’s just my opinion people can do what they want,” sophomore Dillon Doctor said.

Their first match of the Tennis season was on August fifth, 2023 against Ashland at Ashland High School and they won the first match. So far they have played Ottawa-Glandorf, Defiance, Celina, Norwalk, Sylvania North and Southview, Notre Dame, Clay, Whitmer, Elida, Napoleon, Fremont Ross, Springfield, Perrysburg, Anthony Wayne, Wapakoneta, Central Catholic, and Bowling Green. Throughout the season they have had eight wins and eight losses.

“When I am playing singles, I feel like I am in control of the court but I also like doubles for when I just miss it and the other person gets it,” sophomore Kendall Beall stated. “ Playing for varsity makes me feel like I can give pointers to JV players to help them as the season progresses,” she continued.
