The Hockeyettes at FHS are going strong with another season of hockettes. The Hockeyettes is a club for girls that support the hockey team at FHS.
“My favorite part about this club is taking part in helping the hockey team being able to watch the games for free,” sophomore Abi Russle said.
Findlay High School has some clubs, but the Hockeyettes seem to be a pretty popular one. Clubs are a good way to get involved and have things to do during high school.
“I joined this club because I saw it as an opportunity to make new friends and as a fun after school activity to do with the friends I already have,” sophomore Lexi Mays said.
This club has lots of fun, fantastic activities to get involved with. The Hockeyettes are a very active and engaging club that includes many things such as decorating their lockers, and simply showing up to support the FHS Ice Hockey team at games.
“This club consists of supporting the hockey team in any way possible. We make scrap books for the seniors, take pictures of awesome plays, decorate their lockers as well as the locker room, make goodie bags for the players, make signs and decorations to cheer at their games, and throw them an end of the season dinner,” freshman Hailey Quint said.
These girls have so many things to do in the Hockeyettes Club. There are just a few things that stick out to them when it comes to the club changing over the years.
“This year there are not as many of us, so we decided to not choose a single hockey player for each girl. I would however like to have gotten to pick a hockey player as this is something we have done in previous years,” sophomore Lexi Mays said.
