Homecoming Court

Findlay High School’s Homecoming will be held October 8, 2022. On Friday, October 7, this year’s king and queen will be announced at the homecoming football game at Donnell Stadium before the game.

The last 5 girls that are still in the running are Regan Alexander, Elizabeth Denike, Lillian Freeman, Destiny Gertz, Eva Mallamaci, and Casey Tate.

The final guys left in the running consist of Josh Baker, Hudson Goebel, Gaben Helms, Paul Klein, Luke Montgomery, and Reid Patterson.

When thinking about what would happen if someone were to win, what would someone look forward to other than just being the king or queen?

“Telling my kids, that would be a cool thing to your kids,” senior Paul Klein said.

There are many things that are included with only being on the homecoming court, like having to find a dress/tux, having to find a convertible, having to be at meetings, having interviews all the time, pictures, t-shirts, etc. This is not even accounting for the race for the crowns.

“It’s stressful for somebody who thought they would never be on it to suddenly be on it and then have all these people who want interviews, you have to film a video, you have to get into a parade, and the stuff like that,” senior Ellie Denike said.

The homecoming parade will be held before the homecoming football game. The court will be riding in convertibles in the parade.

Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned on Friday, October 7 prior to the Findlay Trojan Marching Band beginning their pregame show at 6:30 p.m to kick off the homecoming football game against Oregon-Clay.
