Super Bowl recap
Last Sunday, February 13, was Super Bowl Sunday which had the Cincinnati Bengals go up against the Los Angeles Rams. This was the 56th annual Super Bowl taking place at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The game started off with Dwayne “The Rock ” Johnson hyping up the crowd from the center of the field. Many other celebrities showed up for the game including Jay-z, Kanye West, Matt Damon, Chris Tucker, LeBron James, Justin Beiber and many more.
Odell Beckham Jr was a topic of discussion during the Super Bowl with OBJ just joining the Los Angeles Rams in 2019, he is relatively new to the team.
During the first quarter of the game, OBJ suffered a knee injury due to the artificial turf of the stadium which caused OBJ to be out for the rest of the game. As Parker .M said ¨”it was an injury that cost the rams at the beginning but most likely gave them the strength to win it in the end.”
Super Bowl LVI, had around 70,000 in person attendees and around 101.1 million watching from home.
The Super BowlHalftime show was sponsored by one of the NFL’s biggest sponsors, Pepsi. The show included the musical artists, SNOOP DOGG, Mary J Blige, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar, with a surprise appearance by 50 Cent. These artists brought many songs from the 90s to the early 2000s to the halftime show.
Garrett L told us, ¨The halftime show had an amazing music line up.”
Along with the Super Bowl, comes the extravagant commercials. The most popular commercials included advertisements from companies such as BMW, Coinbase, Doritos, Uber eats and Rocket Mortgage.
This year’s Super Bowl game was one that many people were excited about. It was a constant back and forth for both teams.. It went down to the last quarter with 1:25 left on the clock when Cooper Kupp scored a touchdown for the Rams, soon giving them the Super Bowl victory. Levi R explained that ¨ the Rams definitely made a comeback that many people were wishing didn´t happen.”
Super Bowl weekend was very eventful in every aspect of it which many people can agree is what America has been needing in these current times.
