College Football Playoffs

The college football playoffs decide who competes in the national championship. The Clemson Tigers played the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Sugar Bowl. The Alabama Crimson Tide played Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl.

Ohio State came into this game with a 6-0 record. It was very heavily discussed if they even deserved to be in this game, having only played six games prior. Eventually, the board decided they were worthy to be in, and it showed.

Clemson came into this game with a 10-1 record. They only lost to Notre Dame coming into this game. Clemson eventually got their revenge on Notre Dame, beating them 34-10 later in the season.

The Ohio State Buckeyes won the Sugar Bowl. This means they advance to the National Championship where they will play Alabama.

Justin Fields led the team, along with major help from Trey Sermon. The Buckeyes upset Trevor Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers. Trevor Lawrence is projected to be the number one draft pick.

Clemson was favored to win this game by 7 points. This upset gives Ohio State the confidence they need going into the biggest game of the season.

Alabama came into the Notre Dame game with an 11-0 record. They were ranked the best team in the nation. Alabama is known for having a powerhouse football team. They have excellent recruiting and the best coach in college football.

Notre Dame had a 10-1 record before this game, only losing to Clemson. Notre Dame is known for losing big games. This game’s outcome doesn’t really come as a surprise, as people knew Alabama would win.

Alabama Crimson Tide beat Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl. Most people knew how this game was going to end, in favor of Alabama. Alabama will face off against the Buckeyes, where they are predicted to win by eight.
