Over the generations there has been one big change over time, which is technology. The way technology has developed and changed overtime has had an impact over the generations.
Technology has been seen at school just as well at home. Kids between the ages 8 and 18 are on their mobile devices more than 45 hours a week, which is more than a full time job. Technology has caused many issues for children. Issues that technology has messed with: sleep, chances of obesity, emotional state, social development, increased aggression in children, failing grades, reduced attention, and many other problems. These problems can fumble the future of the current generations and the future of the coming generations.
“To be honest I constantly see kids and students on their phones and devices, it’s scary. Like when the teachers are trying to teach us the kids are always on their phones and being disruptive I just don’t understand,” junior Keilee Demeritt said.
Rising with the digital age, Generation Alpha and Generation Z both started a new era, both growing up with technology but having different styles and vibing to different beats. Although Generation Z came first at hand with experience of technology, Generation Alpha is prone to be raised in a world of technology being normal as breathing.
Generation Alpha is the first generation to have an experience with complete dominance of a digital world. However, Generation Z is able to still briefly remember CDs and DVDs before life with smartphones. Although Generation Z grew up with the internet most of their lives, they are actually more pragmatic and are more likely to mature earlier than most generations. Generation Z are more likely to graduate highschool and go to college.
Generation Alpha will be the most adaptable to technology faster than any other generation. Alpha is known for digital natives, they are also the most diverse generation yet.
