Recently, the Washington football team went through a name change. The new name, the Washington Commanders, had mixed reviews; however, they had the highest selling jerseys after their announcement. With this announcement, they also changed their uniforms and helmet, but they still have the same colors.

Many people have their own thoughts about this change, Washington and non-Washington fans alike. In this case a non-Washington fan was asked their opinion of the new change.

¨I like the design of the new uniforms and helmets. The black uniform is unique and is a great addition to the normal colors¨ sophomore, Matthew Guthrie said.

To get some contrast, a Washington fan was asked their thoughts on the uniforms and name change.

¨I like the new jerseys and everything else, but the name was kind of unexpected. I feel like there could have been better ideas for a name but I am happy that they now have a name and are not referred to as the football team¨ sophomore, Ethan Mauger said.
