Anthony Joshua Title Fight

Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk faced each other at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England on September 25. Anthony Joshua lost his WBA, WBO, and IBF belts to Usyk who now has the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO belts. The scorecards showed Anthony Joshua losing all decisions, 115-113, 116-112, and 117-112.

In a dominating fight it was easy for the judges to make the unanimous decision for Oleksandr Usyk. Anthony Joshua stated that he could not see in his right eye from the ninth round on. Usyk had big cuts above his eye on his eyebrow.

Boxing coach Isaiah Romero, two time Golden Gloves champion, had to say this about the fight,”Joshua kept the whole fight close but never really showed much to score above Usyk in the majority of the rounds.”

Usyk showed that he had the better game plan and mindset. Throughout the match Usyk showed that he can be calm in his situation while executing his plan.

Isaiah Romero also had a comment on the way Usyk handled this fight. “Usyk had better timing, with being patient and then being aggressive when he had to be.” This accurately describes what every reporter stated as well.

The fight shows what happens when you come ill prepared. This has also made many people question if Joshua still has it and if Uysk is the new person to beat. What will Usyk and Joshua’s future be? Will Tyson Fury be Usyks next opponent.
