Book Review: The Andalucian Friend

Sophie Brinkmann, a nurse, widow and single mother meets Hector Guzman, the head of a powerful international crime, after caring for him in the hospital. Sophie is captivated by his quiet charm, and warming smile; she likes the way he welcomes her to his family. But she soon learns that his smooth façade masks something much more sinister.

Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Blacklist was amazed with the book.

“Imagine The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo meets The Sopranos then crank up the intrigue  and rip off the knob. Alexander Soderberg has pinned an awesome thriller you wont want to miss!”

Scott Smith, author of The Ruins also praised the novel.

“One of the many wonderful things about Alexander Soderberg’s novel The Andalucian Friend is how it upsets our expectations. His cops act like gangsters, while his gangsters (some of them) attain a startling sort of nobility.”

While others gave a disappointed rating it turned out to be a well done, with an overall 3 star rate.  The Andalucian Friend is a powerhouse novel, action packed and highly sophisticated.
